Project Description

A stunning transformation of this terrace house within the heritage conservation listed area of Paddington marks the team’s 5th collaboration with our valued client.

Jensen’s approach of a two-staged project separating CDC and DA approval allowed for interior structural works to commence while waiting for DA/CC approval for the back half of the build.

In striving to transform an outdated Paddington terrace into a new home that exceeds the standards of a sophisticated Paddington buyer, Jensen worked closely with the client to develop a contemporary interpretation of a high-end luxury Victorian terrace. The design celebrates the heritage elements of the Victorian era building whilst showcasing a modern interpretation of a classical design.

Key Challenges
  • Excavated and altered the existing multi-tiered ground floor to a seamless one leveled living, dining & outdoor entertaining space.
  • Navigate challenging controls of planning authorities in order to fast track the building process by having CDC works approved first.
  • Providing rapid cost, planning and program feedback during our clients purchasing exclusivity period to de-risk the project.
This is now the 5th project Jensen has completed for us, and they never fail to impress. The brief was to turn a 1920’s unloved terrace in paddington into a stylish modern home. This required extensive structural work, internal builds - moving walls and a staircase, with a complete interior redesign. We had to touch every surface of the terrace. The complete transformation of the place, was done within 9 months, on time and on budget. The Terrace is now a modern, sun drenched, stylish, contemporary home.
