Project Description

Llewella Griffiths Architects (LGA) was engaged by a lovely young family to design a beautiful renovation to their heritage home located in Mosman. This included converting a study into a brand new ensuite to master bedroom, as well as refurbishing bathrooms and laundry.

After previously completing a heritage refurbishment together, LGA entrusted Jensen with the refurbishment of this character filled home. Jensen’s attention to detail ensured that the quality expectation across all details resulted in a beautifully finished home which was handed over one month early.

Key Challenges
  • New ensuite drainage needed to be reticulated throughout the existing structure of the house with minimal impact to existing ceilings and spaces.
  • Construction occurred whilst clients lived within the bottom half of the property requiring management and coordination of trades, access ways, dust control of and noise.
  • Restoring the beautiful architectural features within the heritage listed property including timber skirtings, windows, architraves, tiles, cornices, ceiling roses and masonry.
The Jensen team were a true delight to work with. From the get-go, the team demonstrated a huge level of professionalism and respect for our home and our family. They worked seamlessly with our architect, neighbours, trades, and council. The level of communication was fantastic, they made us feel like nothing was ever too much trouble, and they offered pragmatic and cost effective solutions to inevitable issues as they arose. They delivered on time, and on budget, and we are absolutely thrilled with the result.
