Project Description
The owners approached Jensen looking to turn their somewhat tired space into a vibrant, creative hub in fitting with the local Surry Hills vibe. The refurbishment of this primely located office space soon saw a new lease of life as a multi-functional Art Gallery & Studio.
By highlighting the buildings raw form with polished concrete floors and exposed roof framing the space the studio offers a perfect balance of productive work areas with adequate free space to host social gatherings and exhibitions.
Key Challenges
- Detailed gyprock lining between rafters to acheive desirable look and feel.
- Polishing and patching thin topping slab.
- Working with the client to develop the scope as the project progressed.
