OnePlayground’s Urban Oasis in Surry Hills is a standalone wellness destination serving as a haven for vitality, rejuvenation, and recovery. The Urban Oasis is dedicated to nurturing body, mind and soul and designed to provide a moment of calm amidst the chaos, where one can refresh and revive before stepping back into the world.
After completing the basebuild upgrade, Jensen was invited to tender for One Playground’s new Surry Hills Urban Oasis. The project required the contractor to deliver an incredibly detailed and high spec fitout within a tight 9 week turnaround to ensure handover prior to the Christmas holidays.
Upon being nominated as the preferred contractor, Jensen worked closely with One Playground to provide complex services and detail resolution to ensure buildability and longevity (waterproof).
- Mirrored ceiling required coordinating all services to ensure desired aesthetic intent was achieved while maintaining fit for purpose solution
- Design and construct responsibilities to deliver a new benchmark in aesthetic features such as: - Curved timber yoga stages, - concealed lighting throughout yoga and reformer, - large format custom mirrors with curved reveals, - micro cement curved showers incorporating custom formed joinery
- Carefully coordinating high tech security, AV and lighting to achieve One Playgrounds signature vibrant and exciting atmosphere.
