Project Description

Having owned this commercial office building since the 1980’s, the owners recognised a refurbishment was needed to capitalise on the city fringe office leasing market.

Award winning architects, Welsh + Major were engaged to revitalise the front and rear entry lobbies and eight levels of bathrooms.

After successfully winning a competitive tender, Jensen delivered a carefully planned project involving consultation with tenants and property management to ensure staging minimised disruption as the building remained live during works.

The project went on to win the 2021 Dulux Colour Award for Commercial Interior – Workplace and Retail.

Key Challenges
  • Working closely with an artist to produce the reflection piece based on renowned Australian artist Rosemary Madigan who produced the original stone bas-relief carvings.
  • Construction works in a live environment where floors were occupied throughout.
  • Delivering on the detail oriented architectural intent across several trade disciplines such as paintwork, walnut joinery and custom stone vanities.
