Project Description
Oral Facial & Implant Surgery (OFIS) represents the third specialist practice lead by Dr Benjamin Kofi Oteng-Boateng, a highly regarded Oral and Maxillofacial surgery specialist servicing in the South Sydney region.
In an effort to provide a convenient practice location for the growing number of Wollongong patients and students. OFIS established a local practice within the newly built Wollongong Day Hospital.
Jensen initially provided a range of efficient floor plans which carefully considered the functional requirements of the practice as well as provided scope and costings feedback to assist with lease negotiations.
Key Challenges
- Developing an ultra-efficient steri room design which met the demand of a busy surgery.
- Providing a cost effective negative air pressure solution to the procedure rooms in response to COVID concerns.
- Ensuring flexible out of hours meeting times to ensure a consistent communication with a busy surgeon.
Jensen Projects did a great job with the delivery of my surgery. I was impressed with the floor plan they came up with making good use of space responding to all operational requirements and ensuring an efficient workflow. They communicated regularly and had frequent site meetings to keep me in the loop. They were flexible with the meeting times to fit in with my busy schedule as a surgeon. All issues were quickly resolved.
