Project Description
After winning a competitive tender, Jensen Projects was engaged by Sam Crawford Architects to construct 3 levels of new balconies on to an existing building in Bondi.
Sam Crawford engaged Jensen on the basis of cost competitiveness, previous experience and transparency throughout the tender process.
Key Challenges
- Value engineer solution of fire rating the balconies by using alternative materials
- Working in a live environment around 6 separate units/parties
- Material handling in a tight environment
Sam Crawford Architects (SCA) worked with Jensen Projects on a balcony addition to a strata titled apartment building in Bondi. SCA administered the building contract, working alongside Senior Project Engineer Dennis Safonov and Managing Director Rael over the 7 month build. Paper work, record keeping and general contract administration was managed professionally throughout. Any challenging issues that arose on site were brought to our attention, and appropriate steps were taken to rectify the issue. Tricky detailing issues would be discussed with a collaborative approach. Senior Project Engineer was diligent in answering questions, returning phone calls and emails. The project was small but complex and we appreciated Jensen’s consistent availability and honesty which helped provide a good built result.
